About the role
As a Domestic Assistant, you'll keep our home clean, fresh and well presented, from residents' own rooms to the communal spaces where they spend their days. It's practical work, but it makes a real difference to how comfortable and cared for our residents feel, and they notice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning all surfaces and floors in communal areas, including the use of mechanical cleaning and polishing equipment as directed
- Cleaning residents' rooms, including all surfaces and floors
- Cleaning toilets, baths, basins, showers and sluice rooms
- Dusting, vacuuming and washing down all areas, including furniture and fittings
- Cleaning windows, and polishing mirrors, brass door plates and furniture as applicable
- Shampooing carpets and cleaning curtains and soft furnishings
- Emptying and cleaning waste bins
- Maintaining the highest standards of laundry within the home
What we're looking for
- Six months or more experience in a similar role is preferred, though full training will be given
- High standards and good attention to detail
- A reliable, friendly approach and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Warmth and respect when working around residents in their own home
