The Role
As a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll combine hands-on care with leadership.
You'll continue to build meaningful relationships with young people while becoming an important source of guidance and support for your colleagues.
Working closely with the Registered Manager and wider leadership team, you'll help maintain a safe, structured and therapeutic home where children feel secure and are encouraged to thrive.
You'll lead by example, setting high standards, supporting your team and ensuring every young person receives consistent, compassionate care.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:

You'll have:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (essential)
- Previous experience working within children's residential care
- Strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills

- Full UK driving licence (essential)
If you bring the right values, experience and commitment, we'll support you with the development and opportunities needed to take your career further.
More Than a Senior Role
A great Senior Support Worker doesn't simply know what needs to be done.
They help others become better at doing it too.
You'll be a positive role model for both young people and colleagues, someone who can provide reassurance during difficult moments, recognise good practice and help maintain consistency across the home.
The leadership you show can influence the culture of the team. The relationships you build can influence a young person's future.
That's the difference you can make in this role.
A Career With Purpose
Working in residential childcare can be challenging. It can also be incredibly rewarding.
You'll see young people make progress that may once have seemed out of reach. You'll celebrate the small wins, support them through the difficult days and help them discover what they're capable of.
And alongside that, you'll have the opportunity to develop your own skills, confidence and career.
Lead by example. Build trust. Raise standards. Help change lives.
