Housekeeping / Laundry Assistant
£12.71 per hour plus 75p per hour Attendance Bonus
1 x Part Time Vacancy available (working alternate weekends is required)

Our local, family-run Nursing Home requires a dedicated and conscientious Housekeeper /Laundry Assistant to join our friendly team on a part-time basis. We’re seeking a caring and compassionate individuals who enjoys interacting with elderly individuals and assisting them with their daily living activities. Candidates must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, well-organised and able to work both independently.
The successful candidate will be part of a team maintaining a clean and safe environment for all residents and staff. Applicants must be motivated, have good communication skills and be a team player.
Duties for this role will include:
- Effectively manage the housekeeping, laundry and ironing of clothing and linen to a high standard, ensuring an adequate supply of these items at all times.
- Have a working knowledge of washing and drying different fabrics.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the laundry equipment.
- Cleaning of Residents Bedrooms and all Communal Areas
- Maintaining Housekeeping Stock
- Be aware of health and safety policies.
Experience is not essential; as we will support you with all the training and support you’ll need to do the job. What is important to us is that you are a caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, who is interested in working in a close and friendly team.
Flexibility to work alternate weekends is needed.
