Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised GP Practice Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient appointments, and supporting the smooth operation of the practice. Responsibilities
- Greeting patients in a courteous and professional manner upon arrival and departure
- Managing appointment bookings, cancellations, and reminders via the practice management system
- Answering incoming calls promptly and directing enquiries appropriately
- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating personal information as needed
- Handling administrative tasks such as New Registrations filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Processing patient payments and insurance documentation where applicable
- Supporting clinical staff with administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the practice
- Ensuring the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and compliant with health and safety standards
Requirements
- Previous office or administrative experience is essential
- Experience working in a healthcare setting is mandatory
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Use of Docman, Vision, Teams
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Proficient in using office software such as MS Office (Word, Excel) and practice management systems
- Friendly, professional demeanour with a commitment to delivering outstanding patient service
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the practice setting
Pay: £13.52-£14.00 per hour
