Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle equipped with a HIAB crane, delivering goods to various locations while ensuring compliance with all safety and road regulations. Your expertise in commercial driving and delivery operations will help us maintain excellent service standards and efficient supply chain flow. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle fitted with a HIAB crane to deliver goods across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using the HIAB crane, ensuring secure handling and proper placement of items
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly to maintenance teams
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery notes, and inspection reports
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving license
- Demonstrable experience operating HIAB cranes or similar lifting equipment
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations, vehicle maintenance, and load securing techniques
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high attention to detail and safety standards
