The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Quality & Qualified Supervisor to oversee electrical installations and ensure all works meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role combines site supervision, quality control, and operational management, with a strong focus on adherence to NICEIC standards and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site visits and perform quality control inspections throughout the build process, including 1st fix, 2nd fix, and final fix stages.
- Share inspection findings with the site supervisor immediately on the day of the inspection and, if needed, with the electrician responsible for the work.
- Monitor document control while on site.
- Prepare and distribute QCSI reports to the site supervisor and project manager (PM).
- Review and discuss any concerns or issues identified during inspections.
- Proactively share best practices, as well as areas for improvement, across all sites with both supervisors and PMs.
- Assist the site supervisor with compliance matters, offering full support from PMs.
- Complete Supervision Records for all operatives in accordance with NICEIC requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training for all operatives.
- Oversee the calibration of testing instruments and the updating of calibration cards.
- Review site certification to ensure compliance and accuracy prior to final sign-off.
- Supervise the development of apprentices in their final year leading up to the AM2 assessment.
- Lead the annual NICEIC inspection.
- Compile and organize all relevant documents and paperwork for the NICEIC annual inspection.
- Assist with final project testing and commissioning activities as required.
- Manage and control the Small Works Diary.
Requirements:
- Qualified/approved electrician (previous experience is a supervisory role is preferred but not essential)
- 18th Edition and C&G 2391 qualified
- Excellent understanding of electrical regulations and compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Full driving licence
