Woodland of Kingston are based in Kingston upon Thames and manufacture timber doors and windows to a very high standard aimed at the upper end of the market. All our products are made in our workshop in Kingston and we are currently looking for a person to work in the preparation and glazing area of the business.
The applicant must be able to work on their own initiative to assist in the spray shop with preparation of products ready for spraying as well as being able to glaze windows and doors with double glazed units produced within our Glass Shop.
The position also requires that the applicant helps to keep the workshop clean and tidy and assists in unloading deliveries.
For the right person there is the opportunity to train in all areas of the workshop.
Responsibilities and Duties
Preparing timber doors and windows ready for spraying
Glazing timber doors and Windows
Assisting in keeping workshop clean and tidy
Unloading deliveries of timber and paint
For the appropriate person there will be training provided in other areas of the business
Qualifications and Skills
The applicant must be interested in handling timber and glass products and preferably have experience in glazed products. The applicant should be over 18 years old in order to work with some of the machines in the workshop.
They must be fluent in reading and writing in English and understand commands and adhere to them at all times for Health and Safety reasons
The person must be self motivated to carry out the tasks given in a timely and accurate manner.
The applicant must be physically fit and strong enough to lift timber deliveries without risk to themself or others

Woodland Products run a pension scheme and provides 18 days holiday per year with an additional 3 days which are to be taken during the factory close down between Christmas and New year, plus all statutory Bank Holidays
Pay will be dependent on experience with a review after 6 months probation.
