Overview
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Store Person to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials, and maintaining an organized stock environment. Responsibilities
- Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility
- Manage inventory
- Handle materials with care, including lifting heavy items and performing mechanical tasks when necessary
- Stock shelves efficiently, organize storage areas, and maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
- Pick, pack, ship, and receive goods accurately according to order specifications
- Load and unload trucks promptly while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with shipping documentation and coordinate with logistics providers for timely deliveries
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of stock management and materials handling
- Valid forklift license or certification is essential
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is advantageous for handling equipment and troubleshooting issues
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, picking & packing roles preferred
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation and warehouse protocols
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
