Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu offerings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests or dietary restrictions are clearly communicated to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining a high standard of presentation and quality.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns immediately.
- Upsell menu items such as appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout your shift.
- Follow food safety standards and proper serving procedures to ensure a safe dining environment for all guests.
Skills
- Strong background in hospitality with previous restaurant or serving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling of food and beverages.
- Ability to assist with basic food preparation or kitchen tasks when needed.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Outstanding guest service skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and change accurately.
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction.
