We're recruiting on behalf of a multidisciplinary architecture and design practice based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, working on residential, masterplanning, and regeneration projects across the UK.
They're looking for a Graduate Urban Designer to join their team. This is an entry-level position suited to a recent graduate with a degree in Urban Design, Planning, or a related field, strong CAD and design software skills, and a genuine interest in placemaking and sustainable development.
You'll work alongside architects and planners on live projects ranging from neighbourhood to regional scale, contributing to design proposals, site analysis, and client presentations from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of urban design proposals and masterplans.
- Produce drawings, plans, and visuals using CAD and design software.
- Assist with site analysis, research, and design reports.
- Contribute to client and stakeholder presentations.
- Work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary design team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Urban Design, Planning, Architecture, or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Genuine interest in urban regeneration and sustainable design.
Salary and benefits:
- £25,000-£27,000 (entry-level, graduate role).
- Full-time, based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
- Hands-on project experience with mentoring and support from senior staff.
