About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, trustworthy and highly organised Housekeeper & Cleaner to support a busy young family and assist with the upkeep of a nearby commercial premises.
This is a varied, hands-on role requiring someone who takes exceptional pride in maintaining immaculate standards, enjoys working independently and is able to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism and discretion.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring both the family home and business premises remain clean, organised and welcoming at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Domestic Duties
- Maintain the family home to an exceptional standard of cleanliness.
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing throughout the property.
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas.
- Making beds and changing bed linen.
- Laundry, including washing, drying, folding and putting away clothing.
- Ironing and caring for garments.
- Organising wardrobes, cupboards and storage areas.
- Emptying bins and maintaining general household tidiness.
- Monitoring household supplies and advising when replenishment is required.
- Occasional grocery shopping and collection of household essentials.
- Assisting with other light household duties as required.
Commercial Premises Duties
- Cleaning offices, meeting rooms, communal areas and staff facilities.
- Maintaining kitchen and washroom areas to a high standard.
- Vacuuming, mopping and sanitising all commercial spaces.
- Ensuring reception and customer-facing areas remain clean and presentable.
- Restocking consumables where required.
- Reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Supporting the overall presentation of the premises to ensure a professional environment.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in domestic housekeeping and/or commercial cleaning.
- Be trustworthy, honest and able to maintain complete confidentiality.
- Have exceptional attention to detail and take genuine pride in their work.
- Be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Be organised, reliable and punctual.
- Have a positive, friendly and professional attitude.
- Be physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (preferred).

Pay: £12.80-£17.50 per hour
