Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs, including panel beating, sanding, and painting preparation
- Perform bodywork repairs such as dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment adjustments
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when handling vehicle parts or components
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with other team members to complete repairs within specified timeframes
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during repair procedures
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and repair techniques
- Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with physical strength suitable for the role
- Prior experience in a body shop or automotive repair environment is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all tasks undertaken
