Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV 1 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Operate HGV vehicles in accordance with legal and company standards
- Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Deliver goods to specified locations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Load and unload cargo safely, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, vehicle logs, and mileage records
- Follow planned routes efficiently, adapting as necessary to traffic or weather conditions
- Ensure the security of cargo during transit and at delivery points
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management
Requirements
- Valid HGV 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Ability to operate all equipment safely and effectively
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and professional attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required
