PRODUCTION OPERATOR
PERMANENT |MON-FRI| ALTERNATING SHIFTS | 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm
We are seeking a Production Operator, ideally with extrusion experience, to join our production team in Kirkintilloch. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistently high-quality standards and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attention must be paid to Health and Safety precautions when handling chemicals, not only for your own safety but also for the health of your fellow workers.
- Ensure the working area is clean before starting and at the end of shift.
- Containers and mills/machines must be cleaned to the correct standard.
- Check batch card for materials and be able to weigh to accuracy.
- Meters for liquids and scales for solids must also be checked carefully.
- Assist with the immediate supervisor regarding works production program.
- Cooperate with Q.C. Department on seeking quality approval.
- Complete daily work sheet at end of shift.
- Take part in training programs and endeavour to obtain satisfactory assessment.
- Participate in Total Quality initiatives as required.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION
- Previous experience in a similar production role an advantage
- Understanding of applicable raw materials and masterbatch formulations a benefit.
- Knowledge of the wire & cable and PVC industry an advantage.
- Able to work both alone and as part of a team.
