Overview
We are currently inviting applications for the role of Nursery Manager at Fullwood Nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to lead a passionate team to deliver high-quality care and education.
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the nursery. You will ensure that the service provides a safe, caring and stimulating learning environment, both indoors and outdoors, where children can thrive.
You should have a proven track record of leading a team and have the ability to motivate others. You should work to nursery policies and procedures, and ensure the staff team work in accordance to these. You will need excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with staff, our service users and external stakeholders. You should possess strong leadership and organisational skills as the remit of this role is large. You should be creative in implementing your ideas and committed to leading the nursery forward.
You will need to work in partnership with parents and other professionals for the benefit of children and parents. You should have in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and a good understanding of children’s health and wellbeing.
Formal qualification in Childhood Practice is essential with the minimum of an HNC or equivalent as a requirement of this role. You will also be expected to undertake further training including a commitment to achieve your BA in Childhood Practice if not already achieved.
This position is subject to membership of the SSSC and PVG Scheme.
Experience
- Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of childcare professionals
- Extensive experience working directly with children in a childcare or nursery environment
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood education best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with staff and families
- Ability to drive is preferred for facilitating transportation or off-site activities
- Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, safety protocols, and inclusive practices

Pay: £35,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
