Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and on time. Your expertise in driving, combined with your mechanical knowledge and warehouse experience, will ensure smooth transportation processes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed trucks, for local or regional deliveries
- Load and unload cargo with attention to safety and accuracy, utilizing warehouse experience when necessary
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimize time and fuel efficiency
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical integrity
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and compliance documentation
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including inventory checks and material handling
Skills
- Proven experience in driving and delivery operations, particularly as a delivery driver or <PERSON> driver
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Mechanical aptitude to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with team members and clients
- Familiarity with flatbed trucks and securing loads effectively
- Warehouse experience to support loading/unloading activities efficiently
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other route planning tools confidently
