We are looking for an experienced Transport / Yard Manager to oversee the daytoday running of our yard and delivery operations. Youll lead a team of drivers and yard staff, ensure safe and efficient operations, and help deliver excellent service to our customers.

Manage all yard operations (goods in/out, stock rotation, housekeeping)

Schedule and oversee deliveries to ensure ontime, efficient service

Supervise, motivate, and support drivers and yard staff

Ensure high standards of health & safety at all times

Maintain vehicle compliance (servicing, inspections, legal checks)

Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
-
Ensure branch operations follow company policies and procedures

Previous experience in a similar role within a builders merchant or construction supply environment

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent organisation and communication skills

Good knowledge of transport legislation and vehicle compliance

Forklift licence (desirable, not essential)
