The Bull & Swan is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team.
This is not the fanciest job title in hospitality, but it is one of the most important. A good Kitchen Porter keeps the kitchen moving, keeps the chefs sane, and keeps service running properly.
We are looking for someone reliable, energetic and happy to get stuck in. You do not need years of experience, you just need a good attitude, pride in your work, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
The Bull & Swan is a historic pub in Stamford, known for proper food, good company and a busy kitchen with plenty going on. You will be part of a friendly team where your work genuinely matters.
What you’ll be doing
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service
- Washing pots, pans, crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Supporting the chefs during busy services
- Keeping storage, waste and recycling areas tidy
- Following food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Helping the team wherever needed
- Turning up on time, ready to work and ready to get stuck in
What we’re looking for
- A reliable person with a strong work ethic
- Someone who enjoys being part of a team
- A positive attitude, even when it gets busy
- Good attention to cleanliness and organisation
- Previous kitchen experience is helpful, but not essential
