JOB DESCRIPTION - Part time shop assistant
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for somebody who is friendly and enjoys a customer facing role within a retail environment. Good communication skills are essential. We are looking for someone who is flexible with their working hours and able to occasionally work from a remote location at events throughout the year.
Our sales assistant must be punctual and confident talking to new people. We are looking for a positive individual who loves to work as a team. Prior retail experience is essential.

Job Role – Sales Assistant
Our sales assistant would be expected to complete the following:
- Customer service.
- Money handling.
- Day to day organisation including prepping stock for sale.
- General cleaning and tidying.
- Fulfil online orders.
- Reporting to and supporting the manager in daily operations.
Specifications:
This is a part time role;
Start date: July
Days: Friday + Saturday, with occasional Sunday working on market stalls. Subject to change, must be flexible.
Hours: approximately 4 - 14 hours a week.
Friday | 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Saturday | 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Pay: £12.71 p/h | Paid monthly
Location: Blind Maggot Ltd, 122 Bartholomew Street, Newbury, RG14 5DT
Car parking space provided during shift hours.
On occasion, our shop assistants may be required to work on a market stall for specific events. For example at tattoo conventions, festivals or local artisan markets.
