Overview
Due to the imminent retirement of our long-standing Registered Manager, Precedo Healthcare Services is looking for a new Registered Manager to lead our established domiciliary care service covering South and West Yorkshire.
This role includes oversight of a specialist end-of-life care service in Sheffield and a small number of individually commissioned 1:1 packages of care in and around Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
You will lead an experienced team of Managers, Care Coordinators, Seniors and administrative support.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director (who is also Nominated Individual), you will have significant autonomy alongside the support of a close-knit leadership team.
The role
You will be responsible for the quality, safety, performance and development of the services, including:
- Ensuring the daily delivery of safe, effective and genuinely person-centred care
- maintaining regulatory compliance and preparing for CQC inspection
- undertaking audits and using findings to drive continuous improvement
- ensuring rotas are operationally effective and financially efficient
- supporting, managing and motivating frontline staff
- building strong relationships with commissioners and other professionals
- identifying opportunities to grow the services and develop new packages
- Supported by the Safeguarding Lead and HR Team, overseeing safeguarding, complaints, incidents, risk and quality assurance.
The role is office based in Sheffield, with some occasional travel to West Yorkshire. Flexibility is required to meet service needs. You will also provide occasional backup support to the on-call rota when required.
About you
We are looking for someone who is accountable, values-led and committed to delivering the best possible care.
You may already be an experienced Registered Manager, or you may be an ambitious care manager, deputy or operational lead ready to take the next step.
Essential:
- Management experience in domiciliary care, supported living, complex care or a similar regulated service
- Strong knowledge of person-centred care, safeguarding, quality and regulatory requirements
- Ability to lead, support and develop teams
- Level 5 qualification in Adult Care Leadership and Management, or willingness to enrol from the outset.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager
- Previous participation in CQC inspections
- Direct experience in end-of-life or palliative care.
