European Freight Limited a well established Freight Forwarding Company in UK is offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Manager Role to take care of the overall finance functions for itself & its Group Company Awadhi Hospitality Ltd .
We are looking for some one having preferably previous working experience within either freight forwarding, cargo, logistics or shipping industry for the role, along with previous experience of managing a small team of account staff. Good Sage Accounting experience and AAT qualification or equivalent accounting training is preferable.

- Oversee the smooth running of the Accounts Department and manage a team of up to 3 staff
- Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Oversee Sales Ledger, Billing, and Credit Control functions.
- Review & reconcile the sales collections from Online Portals like Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eat & all with respect to Awadhi Hospitality Limited.
- Complete and review Bank and Duty VAT reconciliations
- Liaise with senior management and external accountants as required
- Supervise the processing of sales and purchase invoices
- Resolve account-related queries and discrepancies
- To facilitate data submission to External Accountants for production and analysis of P&L reports, Aged Debtor reports, budgets, and payroll information
- Provide regular financial reporting and updates to the senior management team
- Recruit, Train and Employ Trainee/Apprentice to support position in Purchase ledger, as will need to fill this role until cover is obtained.
- To oversee and be responsible for monthly Payroll processing of related units.
- Be accountable and responsible for both Sales & Purchase Ledgers and accounts Team.
Person Specification
- Proven experience across all aspects of accounts and finance management
- Previous managerial or team leadership experience
- Strong background within the freight forwarding, cargo, logistics, or shipping industry
- AAT qualification or equivalent accounting training
- Advanced knowledge of Sage 50 is essential
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Freight Net and ASM systems would be highly advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilitiesMonday to Friday 9am-5.30pm
Salary ranging from GBP 37,000 to GBP 40,000 p.a. depending on experience & qualification.
