We’re looking for a high-calibre junior Solicitor to join our in-house Legal team, supporting a wide range of commercial activities across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified lawyer (0-2 years’ PQE) trained in private practice who is keen to develop in a dynamic, commercially focused environment.
You’ll gain exposure to a varied workload including commercial contracts, projects, financing arrangements and corporate transactions, working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
The Role
Reporting to a Senior Solicitor, you will provide pragmatic, high-quality legal support across the business, advising on both day-to-day matters and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Contracts
- Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements (including supplier terms, service agreements, NDAs and framework agreements)
- Prepare supporting legal documentation such as letters, consents and resolutions
- Provide clear, practical advice on contractual risk and mitigation
- Support stakeholders in structuring and delivering commercial deals
Projects & Transactions
- Assist on strategic business projects and initiatives
- Support corporate transactions, restructurings and joint ventures
- Undertake due diligence, prepare documentation and assist with completions
- Collaborate with Finance and Commercial teams on deal structuring
Finance Support
- Provide legal input on financing arrangements (including lending and security documentation)
- Support refinancing transactions
- Manage relationships with external counsel on more complex matters
Legal Advisory
- Deliver practical, business-focused legal advice to internal stakeholders
- Interpret and apply relevant legal and regulatory frameworks
- Contribute to risk management and governance processes
Research & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct legal research and present findings clearly to the team
- Support the development of legal templates and standard processes
- Contribute to ongoing improvements within the Legal function
- Assist with effective management of external legal spend
About You
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or equivalent with a current practising certificate
- 0-2 years’ PQE
- Trained in private practice within a reputable law firm
- Experience drafting and advising on commercial agreements
- Exposure to transactions, deals or structured commercial arrangements
- Comfortable working collaboratively on multi-stakeholder matters
