London Pet Club is looking for an experienced, reliable and professional Dog Walker to join our team for a weekly solo dog walk every Sunday from 8am-9am.
Applicants must live locally to Regent's Park (NW8) to ensure reliable and punctual attendance.
This role is ideal for someone looking for regular weekly work, who enjoys working outdoors, has excellent dog handling skills, and takes pride in providing exceptional care and customer service.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will collect 1 dog from the client's home on foot and provide a 1-hour walk around Regent's Park.
The role includes:
-Collecting and returning the dog safely to the client's home
-Off-lead walking
-Playing fetch and providing enrichment
-Monitoring the dog's behaviour, welfare and safety throughout the walk
-Using our mobile application to complete GPS tracking and client updates
There may also be opportunities to undertake additional dog walks and pet sitting assignments across London.
HOURS AND PAY
Dog walking:
Every Sunday
8-9am
£13 per hour
Paid monthly upon receipt of a valid invoice
ADDITIONAL WORK
1-3 hours: £13 per hour
4+ hours or overnight sitting: £40 per day/night
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
-Live locally to Regent's Park (NW8)
-Be available every Sunday 8am-9am
-Be aged 21 or over
-Have professional dog handling experience
-Be confident walking dogs both on and off lead
-Have experience working with dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments
-Be physically fit
-Be self-employed (or willing to register as self-employed)
-Be a non-smoker
-Be an iPhone user with sufficient mobile data
-Have excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
The following must be obtained during the trial period (at the applicant's expense):
-Proof of identity and right to work in the UK
-Enhanced DBS Check
-Public Liability Insurance
TRIAL ASSESSMENT
Successful applicants will complete a 1-month trial period.
During the trial you will be assessed on your ability to:
-Independently walk dogs both on and off lead
-Safely manage dog behaviour and interactions
-Clean and dry dogs after walks where required
-Feed and care for pets where applicable
-Use GPS tracking and mobile applications to provide client updates
-Deliver a consistently high standard of professionalism and customer service
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Please note that experience gained solely from caring for your own pets, or pets belonging to family or friends, will not be considered professional experience.
