Senior Day Service Support Worker (Part-Time)

Hours: 18-24 , Thursday evenings and alternate weekends will be required
We're looking for a Senior Day Service Support Worker to help lead and enhance the support provided within our welcoming and inclusive day service.
About the Day Service:
Our day service provides a safe, stimulating, and inclusive space for individuals who may require additional support due to age, disability, or other care needs. Here, they can participate in enriching activities, develop essential life skills, build friendships, and enjoy a structured yet supportive environment.
Through meaningful engagement, we promote independence, well-being, and social inclusion—whether through hands-on creative projects, group discussions, outdoor activities, or tailored individual support. Our team works collaboratively with individuals, families, and professionals to ensure person-centered care that meets each individual's unique needs and aspirations.
Your Role as a Senior Support Worker:
- Lead and mentor the team, ensuring high-quality, person-centered support
- Coordinate and oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth running of activities and support plans
- Provide hands-on support to individuals, assisting with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and emotional well-being
- Facilitate engaging activities, such as arts and crafts, music, gardening, and social interaction sessions to promote independence and inclusion
- Encourage skill-building, helping individuals develop confidence in daily tasks and personal growth
- Act as a key liaison, working closely with families, carers, and professionals to ensure holistic support
- Monitor and review care plans, ensuring tailored approaches meet individual needs
- Support training and development, helping colleagues enhance their skills and knowledge
