Khalsa Aid is an international humanitarian charity providing emergency relief and sustainable support to communities affected by conflict, natural disasters and poverty around the world. We're looking for a creative and innovative Digital Content Creator to help tell these stories, engage supporters, and strengthen our digital presence.

About the Role
As our Digital Content Creator, you'll be responsible for producing engaging multimedia content across our digital channels, including our website, social media, email campaigns, and fundraising initiatives. From creating compelling videos and animations to optimising website content and exploring AI-powered creative tools, you'll play a key role in helping Khalsa Aid reach and inspire audiences worldwide.
The role also involves creating reactive content during humanitarian emergencies, providing timely updates on disaster responses, projects, and missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and publish engaging digital content across our website, social media, email campaigns and other digital platforms.
- Produce reactive content and live updates during humanitarian emergencies.
- Manage and develop website content, ensuring it is accurate, accessible, user-friendly and SEO optimised.
- Design and produce high-quality animations, motion graphics, explainer videos and multimedia content.
- Edit video content using graphics, animation, subtitles and branded assets to maximise engagement.
- Explore and implement AI tools, automation and emerging technologies to enhance content creation and digital performance.
- Work closely with fundraising and programme teams to create campaign content, impact stories and project updates.
- Monitor website and campaign analytics, using insights to improve performance and user engagement.
- Ensure all digital content reflects Khalsa Aid's brand, values and accessibility standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines creativity with technical expertise and enjoys exploring new ways to engage audiences through digital media.
You'll have:
- Proven experience creating digital content across multiple platforms.
- Experience managing websites and content management systems (CMS).
- Strong knowledge of SEO and website optimisation.
- Excellent video editing, animation and motion graphics skills (Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects and Premiere Pro, or equivalent).
- Experience using AI-powered creative tools and emerging digital technologies.
- Strong graphic design and visual storytelling abilities.
- Experience analysing digital performance and using data to improve content.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for humanitarian work and storytelling.
Desirable
- Experience working within the charity, humanitarian or non-profit sector.
