Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity across the premises, identifying potential security threats or suspicious behavior.
- Implement loss prevention measures by observing and deterring theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
- Control access points by verifying credentials of staff, visitors, contractors, and vendors to ensure only authorized individuals enter designated areas.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with emergency services as required.
- Maintain detailed records of security activities, including shift reports, incident logs, and CCTV footage documentation.
- Perform regular patrols of the facility to identify hazards or breaches in security protocols.
- Assist in training new team members on surveillance procedures and emergency response protocols.
Requirements
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license or equivalent certification demonstrating compliance with industry standards.
- Proven experience in security operations, with a strong understanding of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security monitoring equipment.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies, including administering basic first aid when needed.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail for detecting irregularities or suspicious activity.
- Strong communication skills to clearly report incidents and coordinate with team members or emergency responders.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, or patrolling for extended periods throughout shifts.
