The Blue Hut is a beach-side café in Teignmouth, Devon. We sell internationally inspired street food and locally roasted coffee, ice creams and soft drinks to tourists and locals alike. We pride ourselves on tasty, unique home-made food, consistently good coffee and great customer service.

We are growing our team for the 2026 season and need part time severs to serve customers, scoop ice creams serve soft drinks to order and assist in the running of a busy beach side café.
You will be responsible for :
- Serving customers, taking cash and card payments. Writing drinks and food order tickets for barista and chef (Basic maths is essential). Communicating with customers in fast paced environment.
- Cleaning dishes and helping restock drinks, ice creams and assisting Chef or Barista in anything that is required.
- Scooping ice cream to order.
- Sending orders of drinks and food to customers, ie calling names and checking off orders as they go.
- Building a rapport with team members and customers.
We are looking for people with experience of:
- Confident, you'll need to be heard and be able to communicate clearly with customers and team members alike.
- Be punctual and ready for work when required.
The Blue Hut has operated in its current capacity for 9 years and we’ve always had a fantastic happy team. Managing to improve and refine the business with each season and every new team. At the heart of this business is a happy team who love to come to work. We have an incredible loyal customer base that grows every year. Many of these regular customers come to feel like friends; repeat trade is a huge part of what we do.
