El Mexicana is a leading UK restaurant chain.
Our central production kitchen, located on the Gunnels Wood Park estate on the edge of Stevenage town centre, prepares delicious Mexican food using state-of-the-art bulk catering equipment. Our food is prepared fresh and delivered to our restaurants every day, as well as being used to fulfil online delivery orders.
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, hard-working and has a positive, can-do attitude. This is an active, physical role working in a busy environment, so you must be comfortable working at a fast pace.
Physical work and heavy lifting are an important part of the role. You will regularly be required to lift and move boxes, stock and other items, as well as assist with the movement of deliveries and pallets around the kitchen and warehouse areas. Applicants should therefore be physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual tasks throughout their shift.
Working hours are 7:00am–3:00pm.
Previous experience working in a kitchen, warehouse or back-of-house restaurant environment would be advantageous.
Gunnels Wood Park is approximately a 10–15 minute walk from Stevenage town centre, and free car parking is available on site.
Pay: From £12.21 per hour (age 21+), rising to £12.71 per hour from April.
