Skilled Labourer – Damp Proofing & Property Maintenance
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Skilled Labourer to join our team carrying out damp proofing, waterproofing and general property maintenance works.
Main Duties
- Removing plaster back to brick
- Preparing walls ready for damp-proofing and tanking systems
- Assisting with DPC injection and waterproofing works
- Mixing and applying tanking slurry and other waterproofing products
- Boarding and preparing walls ready for plastering
- Basic plastering/rendering where required
- Repointing and general brickwork repairs
- Removing skirting boards, fixtures and fittings where necessary
- General building and property maintenance work
- Loading/unloading materials and keeping sites clean and organised
- Removing rubble and waste from properties
- Assisting skilled tradesmen on larger projects
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or property maintenance
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Good understanding of basic building work
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, hardworking and able to maintain a good standard of workmanship
- Professional and respectful when working in customers’ homes
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Experience in damp proofing, plastering, rendering or waterproofing would be an advantage
