Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sign Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of signage across multiple locations. Responsibilities
- Measure and mark sign placement areas accurately according to specifications.
- Install signage on various surfaces including walls, windows, and outdoor structures using appropriate tools and fixtures.
- Repair or replace existing signs as required, ensuring durability and visual appeal.
- Collaborate with clients or project managers to understand specific signage requirements and site conditions.
- Ensure all signage is securely fitted and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organised manner.
- Troubleshoot installation issues promptly to minimise delays.
- Keep detailed records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in sign fitting.
- Familiarity with various signage materials including vinyl, aluminium, acrylic, and wood.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards relevant to installation work.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings or plans accurately.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- A valid and clean driver’s licence is essential.

Company van with all tools included in this self employed position. This position is based in Nottingham, however there will times where working around the country is required, with overnight stays, where accommodation and meals are paid for. A fitters mate will also be provided.
Pay: £28,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
