Housing Management Officer
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, Mon – Fri, 08:30 – 17:00 (Mon – Thu), 08:30 – 16:30 (Fri)
Contract: Temporary Contract
Location: Mobile role covering Oxfordshire. Candidates must live within a reasonable travelling distance of Oxfordshire. RG19 6AD, United Kingdom
Work Pattern: 1 day in the office and 4 days remote working
Rate: PAYE £15.55 per hour / Umbrella £19.36 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We are recruiting a Housing Management Officer to support the delivery of high-quality housing services across Oxfordshire. This is a key customer-focused role, ideal for someone experienced in housing management, confident handling complex cases, and able to work independently in a mobile environment.
You will manage a varied housing management caseload, ensuring landlord responsibilities are delivered effectively while supporting safe, sustainable, and inclusive communities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a varied housing management caseload, including anti-social behaviour, tenancy issues, breaches, fraud, and safeguarding concerns
- Providing a professional and customer-focused housing service across the local area
- Resolving housing and neighbourhood challenges by identifying practical and effective solutions
- Supporting the development of safe, sustainable, and inclusive communities
- Ensuring landlord responsibilities are delivered in line with policies, procedures, legislation, and regulatory requirements
- Carrying out routine property and neighbourhood checks to identify improvements
- Promoting health and safety compliance across assigned areas
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, partner agencies, and community organisations
- Building positive relationships with customers and delivering an excellent customer experience
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone proactive, organised, and experienced in housing management. You should be confident working independently, handling complex issues, and delivering effective solutions for customers.
You'll ideally have:
- Valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Previous experience managing a housing management caseload
- Experience handling complex housing issues and achieving positive outcomes
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a mobile role
- Good understanding of housing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Experience working within housing, local authority, or a similar public service environment
- Knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding, and tenancy management
- Experience working with external agencies and community partners
