Tell our story. Grow our audience. Learn a huge amount along the way.
Floatwell is a wellbeing spa in the heart of Cambridge. Floatation tanks, sauna, massage, treatments that leave people feeling like a different version of themselves on the way out. We have a brilliant story to tell, a big library of footage to play with, and an audience that's ready to grow.
What we need is someone to tell that story properly.
This is a paid internship for someone who wants to build a career in social media and content creation. You'll be based at our Cambridge headquarters on Station Road, working side by side with our Marketing Manager every day. You won't be making the tea and watching from the sidelines — you'll be shooting, editing, posting and pitching ideas from week one, with plenty of direction and support while you find your feet.
It's an initial six weeks, and it's a genuine audition: if it goes well, there's a permanent role at the end of it.
What you'll be doing
- Planning, shooting and editing your own content on-site — Reels, TikToks, Shorts and stills
- Raiding our existing content library and turning old footage into fresh posts
- Writing and scheduling across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Helping write and send our email newsletter — one of our best-performing channels
- Replying to comments and DMs, and looking after our community
- Tracking what's working, what isn't, and why
- Learning to use AI tools in genuinely exciting, creative ways — this is a big part of how we work, and it's a skill that will follow you everywhere
Instagram and our newsletter drive the most engagement for us, so that's where you'll start — but you'll get a proper go at everything.
Who we're looking for
All experience levels considered. We care far more about what's in your head than what's on your CV. We're looking for someone who is:
- Creative — you notice things, you have a point of view, you can make something look good
- Full of ideas — and happy to say them out loud
- Wanting to bring something to the role, not just work through a task list
- Comfortable making content on a phone, and quick to pick up new editing tools
- A decent writer with an eye for detail
Nice to have, but very much teachable: Canva, CapCut or similar editing apps, Meta Business Suite, GoHighLevel, or any experience running social accounts — including your own, a friend's business, or a society page. If you've made something you're proud of, show us.
What you'll get out of it
- Paid work — £10.85 per hour if you're 18–20, £12.71 per hour if you're 21 or over
- Close, hands-on mentoring from our Marketing Manager. You'll be working together every day — this is the kind of access most people don't get until years into a career
- Real, portable skills: content production, editing, scheduling, analytics, copywriting, and practical AI
- Access to our brand pack, our tools and our full content library
- Free treatments at Floatwell while you work with us — floats, sauna, the lot
- On-site parking if you need it
- A relaxed environment and a genuinely friendly team
- A real shot at a permanent role at the end of the six weeks
