Regional Scheduling Lead – Social Housing
Company Overview
SSR Roofing delivers roofing repairs and maintenance for social housing providers, housing associations and local authorities across the UK. As an NFRC member we work to the highest industry standards, giving our clients and their tenants reliable, professional service. We’re a growing contractor investing in the scheduling and planning side of our social housing contracts.
Summary
We’re looking for a Regional Scheduling Lead to own the scheduling and planning of works across a busy portfolio of social housing contracts. This is a scheduling-led role: you’ll plan the daily and weekly programme, allocate operatives and subcontractors, balance workload and capacity, and keep multiple housing association and local authority contracts running to SLA.
It suits an experienced planner or scheduler who has done social housing scheduling before — someone who knows the sector, knows the systems, and can hold several contracts at once, forecast ahead, and keep everything moving without being told what to prioritise.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning the daily and weekly schedule across a regional portfolio of social housing contracts
- Planning and allocating reactive and planned works to operatives and subcontractors
- Balancing workload, capacity and priorities across multiple client contracts
- Sequencing jobs to cut wasted visits, reduce travel and improve first-time-fix
- Managing SLAs, KPIs, compliance and reporting for housing association and local authority clients
- Forecasting demand and planning resource ahead so jobs don’t stack up
- Reacting to emergencies and short-notice works and re-planning the schedule around them
- Acting as the operational point of contact for social housing clients on scheduling and delivery
- Making sure client processes, systems and reporting are followed accurately
- Coordinating quality and health & safety requirements across live works
- Spotting better ways of scheduling and running the contracts and improving them
What We’re Looking For
- Proven scheduling and planning experience within social housing — this is essential
- Track record of scheduling reactive and planned works across multiple contracts
- Strong understanding of how social housing providers and local authorities work (SLAs, KPIs, compliance and reporting)
- Comfortable scheduling multiple contracts and client accounts at once
- Confident using job management, scheduling or planning systems
- Strong organiser who plans and prioritises without being directed
- Calm under pressure and quick to re-plan when workloads spike
- Confident dealing with clients, operatives and subcontractors
Bonus Points If You Have
- Roofing, building fabric or wider maintenance scheduling experience
- Experience scheduling for national or multi-site social housing clients
What You’ll Get
- A role with real responsibility and autonomy
- A growing business with room to progress
