Chalk Farm Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) is looking for a Housing Officer, who play a vital role in managing and maintaining quality housing services. In this energetic position, you will be the front-line representative ensuring tenants’ needs are met with professionalism and care.
Located close to the historic Camden Market, the TMO provides housing services and community activities for residents of the estate. Sustainably funded by Camden Council long term, this is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with experience in management and a real interest in social housing, who values the autonomy of working in a small and close knit organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Housing Management: Deliver high-quality, end-to-end estate and housing services to residents, managing complex cases within current legislative frameworks and landlord requirements.
- Community & Partner Engagement: Work closely with Camden Council, local stakeholders, and residents to drive service excellence, support tenancy sustainability, and lead tenant consultation initiatives.
- Service Delivery & Performance: Maintain precise case records, contribute to policy development, and deliver performance data to the Estate Manager and Management Board to meet organizational targets.
- Team Leadership & Deputising: Act as a senior anchor within a close-knit, estate-based team, providing guidance to colleagues and deputising for the Estate Manager when required.
- Agile Working: Carry out home visits, site inspections, and attend community meetings outside normal working hours as needed.
