Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams focused on application development, system design, and cloud infrastructure management.
- Oversee the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and security protocols aligned with NIST standards.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions on schedule.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps practices to streamline deployment pipelines, automate testing, and enhance system reliability across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements, develop strategic roadmaps, and implement scalable architectures utilizing technologies such as.NET, Java, Python, Angular, React, Node.js, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, and AI/ML frameworks.
- Ensure robust system security by implementing network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, DNS management, and intrusion detection systems; monitor for vulnerabilities and respond effectively.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing system performance metrics and leading disaster recovery planning to ensure high availability and business continuity.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing large-scale software development projects with a focus on application development in cloud environments like AWS and Azure.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams while promoting collaboration and innovation.
- Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure including network security (firewalls, VPNs), system administration (Active Directory, vSphere), virtualization (SAN, VMware), and server management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, PHP; experience with front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, ReactJS; backend expertise with APIs and server-side scripting.
- Deep understanding of DevOps practices—CI/CD pipelines—and tools that support automation within cloud computing frameworks.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP systems and data warehouses; experience integrating multiple data sources using SQL Server or Oracle databases.
- Strong analysis skills combined with excellent communication abilities to translate complex technical concepts into clear strategies for stakeholders.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure components including LAN/WAN configurations like MPLS or MPLS VPNs; experience with disaster recovery planning aligned with NIST standards.
