Summary
Sherwood Primary School is an outstanding two form entry Primary School. We are looking to appoint a highly committed team member to join our team as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant and Manager of our After School Club each day. The successful applicant will be expected to work with children delivering high quality support and interventions in class, working closely alongside our class teachers to meet the needs of all children. The role also includes supporting and supervising our children during the lunch hour.
In addition to this, the role also includes taking responsibility for the delivery of our After School Club each day. This includes leading a team of Play Workers and planning play based provision for our children during extended hours.

Our children work hard and show fantastic commitment to their learning and the life of our School. This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 12noon-6pm (27.5 hours per week). The position will be permanent.

Essential Qualifications
- NVQ/BTEC Level 3 childcare qualification or higher qualification
English and Mathematics GCSE Grade C or above

- Experience of working with children in a school in a teaching assistant role
A positive role model for children who will lead by example and form positive relationships within a team

- Experience of leading after school provision
- Leading and managing teams/staff
- Monitoring targets for future progress
- Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
- Have a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils
- Monitoring pupils progress in reference with the schools practice
