Duchy Larder is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate hospitality professional to lead our Front of House team.
Whether you're already an experienced Front of House Manager or an ambitious Supervisor or Assistant Manager ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
As we begin a new chapter following the very sad loss of our long-serving Bar Manager, we're looking for someone who can build on the fantastic standards he helped create while bringing their own personality, leadership and enthusiasm to the role.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be leading from the front, supporting the team during busy services and helping to deliver the warm, friendly hospitality that Duchy Larder is known for.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience in a busy restaurant, pub or hospitality venue.
- Have strong bar experience, including cocktails, wines, beers, spirits and cellar management.
- Be a natural leader who enjoys developing and motivating others.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and lead by example.
- Be organised, reliable and calm under pressure.
- Have experience with stock control and ordering (or be keen to learn).
- Be confident handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Hold a Personal Licence or be willing to obtain one (desirable but not essential).
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the front of house and bar.
- Leading, training and supporting the front of house team.
- Ensuring consistently excellent customer service.
- Managing staff rotas and supporting labour control.
- Monitoring stock, placing orders and reducing wastage.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and licensing compliance.
- Working closely with the kitchen and owners to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Helping to grow the business through exceptional hospitality and strong team leadership.
