Pay: £14.75 – £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm
Overtime: Paid after 39 hours
We are currently recruiting semi skilled joiners to join a busy and growing modular construction and manufacturing operation based in the Catfoss area.
This is a hands-on role working as part of a production team, refurbishing, modifying and fitting out modular buildings. We are looking for practical, reliable individuals with experience in construction, joinery, refurbishment, fit-out, manufacturing or similar environments.
The Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Stripping out and refitting modular building interiors
- Installing and fitting modular building components
- Carrying out general joinery, finishing and refurbishment work
- Using a range of hand and power tools
- Working from technical drawings and specifications
- Carrying out repairs, modifications and upgrades to modular units
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Working effectively as part of a wider production team
About You
We are interested in hearing from candidates with practical experience in areas such as:
- Modular construction
- Construction and building
- Joinery
- Refurbishment and renovation
- Fit-out
- Manufacturing
- Carpentry
- General maintenance
- Other hands-on trade or production environments
You should be confident using hand and power tools and have a practical approach to problem-solving.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a construction, manufacturing, modular, refurbishment, fit-out, joinery or similar environment is preferred
- Confident use of hand and power tools
- Ability to work from drawings, measurements and specifications
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Own basic hand tools required: Battery Powered Drill, Stanley Knife, Tape Measure, Hand Saw and Hammer
What We Offer
- £14.32 per hour for candidates with relevant practical experience
- £16.00 per hour for experienced skilled candidates
- Overtime paid after 39 hours
