We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager/Leader to oversee the daily operations of our the purpose built large setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their early development. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure high standards of childcare, and foster a safe, nurturing environment for children to thrive. Applicants should have relevant nursery experience and a background in early childhood education, along with excellent communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff, fostering a positive team environment centred on professional development and high-quality childcare.
- Develop and implement educational programmes tailored to the needs of children at various developmental stages.
- Maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns professionally.
- Oversee health and safety procedures within the nursery to ensure a secure environment for children and staff.
- Organise staff rotas, recruitment, training sessions, and performance reviews.
- Ensure the nursery’s facilities are well-maintained, clean, and suitable for children's activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided.
Skills
- Proven management experience within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide a team effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging with children, parents, and staff clearly and professionally.
- Experience working directly with children across different age groups; child-centric approach essential.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting supplies or attending external meetings or training sessions.
