Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- COMPLEX CARE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
- Follow individualised care plans to meet specific health and wellbeing needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring where appropriate
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all clients
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings as required
- Contribute to the overall wellbeing of clients by providing companionship and emotional support
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving client transportation
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Proficiency in IT systems for documentation purposes
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and colleagues
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
- Reliable, organised, and able to work flexible hours as required
