Bring joy, laughter and companionship to our residents.

About the role
No two days are the same!
You'll plan and deliver a varied programme of activities that encourages residents to stay active, social and engaged while respecting their individual interests, abilities and choices.
The role offers flexible part-time hours. While shifts have traditionally been 1:00pm–5:00pm, we're looking to make our activities programme even more varied. This means some morning shifts, mostly early afternoon shifts, and occasional later finishes to support special events, outings or seasonal celebrations.
Flexibility is important, as we'll work together to create an engaging activities programme that best meets the needs of our residents.
We're not looking for someone to simply fill an activities timetable—we're looking for someone who can build genuine relationships, bring ideas, have fun and help make every day meaningful for our residents.
What you'll be doing
- Planning and delivering fun, meaningful activities for individuals and small groups.
- Arts and crafts.
- Painting nails and supporting wellbeing sessions.
- Music sessions and music therapy activities.
- Gentle armchair exercises.
- Supporting residents to enjoy the garden and outdoor spaces.
- Baking, games, quizzes and reminiscence activities.
- Celebrating birthdays, seasonal events and special occasions.
- Organising day trips and outings.
- Accompanying residents on local outings and supporting them in the community.
- Encouraging residents to continue enjoying their hobbies and interests.
- Spending one-to-one time with residents who prefer quieter activities.
- Working closely with the care team to ensure activities are tailored to each resident's needs, preferences and abilities.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Is kind, caring and enthusiastic.
- Has a warm, positive personality and enjoys making people smile.
- Loves spending time with older people.
- Is creative and enjoys coming up with new ideas.
- Is organised and able to plan ahead.
- Is flexible with working hours.
- Is confident working independently as well as part of a team.
- Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred) and would be happy to drive our minibus for resident outings (training can be provided if required).
Previous experience in activities, care or working with older people is welcomed but isn't essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm, compassion, reliability and ability to brighten someone's day.
Please note
We are unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK.
If you're looking for a rewarding role where you'll make people smile every day and become part of a warm, supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
