Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Assist with food safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Support food preparation activities as needed to ensure timely service.
- Manage multiple tables effectively, prioritising tasks during busy periods.
- Maintain a clean and organised service area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent guest service.
- Handle guest enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques.
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is desirable.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
