About the Role
As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting people to live independently in their own homes while maintaining their dignity, privacy, safety, and wellbeing.
You will provide compassionate, person-centred care to clients with a variety of needs, helping them remain comfortable and independent while making a real difference to their daily lives.
Working closely with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and the wider PureSoul Care team, you will deliver outstanding care in accordance with CQC standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility, transfers and positioning using appropriate equipment where required.
- Assist with medication in accordance with company policies and training.
- Prepare meals and support with nutrition and hydration.
- Carry out light household duties including cleaning, laundry and shopping.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Encourage independence and promote choice and dignity.
- Support clients to attend appointments and access their local community.
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
- Observe and monitor clients' physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Report concerns or changes in health promptly to the Care Coordinator or Registered Manager.
- Maintain accurate electronic care records using company systems.
- Follow safeguarding procedures, infection prevention and control measures, health and safety legislation, and CQC Fundamental Standards.
- Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries at all times.

- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Access to your own vehicle.
Desirable
- Previous experience in home care, domiciliary care or residential care.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Medication administration experience.
- Moving and Handling training.
- Basic IT skills for completing electronic care records.
