Overview
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and commercially minded Tipper Transport Planner & Commercial Coordinator to join our growing haulage and aggregates business.
This is a varied role that goes beyond transport planning. As well as planning the daily movements of our 8-wheel tipper fleet, you’ll be responsible for building relationships with customers, speaking to existing contacts to secure haulage work, helping to sell our aggregates and supporting the day-to-day running of the business.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a small team, takes ownership of their work and wants to play an important role in helping the business grow.
Responsibilities
● Plan and coordinate the daily movements of our 8-wheel tipper fleet.
● Liaise with drivers and customers to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
● Proactively contact existing customers and industry contacts to secure haulage work and maximise vehicle utilisation.
● Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
● Identify opportunities to promote and sell our aggregate products.
● Prepare quotations and respond to customer enquiries.
● Process tickets, invoices and transport paperwork accurately.
● Monitor vehicle availability and communicate any operational issues.
● Ensure transport activities comply with company procedures and relevant legislation.
● Support the day-to-day running of the office with general administration and operational tasks.
● Work closely with the business owners to help develop new opportunities and grow the company.
About You
● Previous experience in tipper haulage, aggregates, muckaway, construction logistics or transport planning is preferred.
● Confident communicating with customers and building long-term relationships.
● Commercially minded with the confidence to pick up the phone and generate work.
● Organised and able to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
● Good geographical knowledge and understanding of the UK road network.
● Competent using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
● A positive, flexible attitude with the ability to work independently.
● A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £32,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
