The purpose ofthe role:
As a CBRE Electrical maintenance engineer, weare seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to overseeand maintain electrical systems and equipment across our Nailsea facilities.The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in diagnosingelectrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring operationalefficiency in compliance with safety standards.
The role is on a fixed site facility withcanteen services and gives access to all the benefits enjoyed by CBRE staffincluding pension, holiday purchase (in addition to the 25 + BH’s), cycle towork etc. Currently the role is being carried out as a 4 day working week andthere is scope for this to continue if desired.
This job is part of the Engineering andTechnical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support,preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems .
What You’ll Do:
- Perform regular preventive and correctivemaintenance on electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electricalequipment, lighting systems, PLCs, and power distribution systems.
- Inspect and test electrical components forsafety, functionality, and code compliance.
- Collaborate with production and operationsteams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth running of equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs,service records, and compliance documentation.
- Recommend improvements and upgrades toenhance system reliability and energy efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with health andsafety regulations and electrical codes.
- Support installation and commissioning ofnew equipment.
What You’ll Need:
- City andguilds level 3 2365/2357 qualification with AM2
- Provenexperience (typically 3+ years) in electrical maintenance within an industrial,manufacturing, or commercial environment.
- Strongunderstanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, andtroubleshooting tools.
- Excellentproblem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strongcommunication and teamwork skills.
- Relevantcertifications (e.g., Electrical License, OSHA training) are advantageous
