About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and good-humoured Support Worker to join a dedicated care team supporting a 25 year old gentleman living with a diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in the family home. The client lives with his Mum, Sister & does have a little dog.
This is a 1:1 support role focused on providing personalised, dignified, and empowering care to promote independence and well-being. You'll assist with personal care, mobility, IT support, and day-to-day tasks, as well as drive the client’s vehicle to appointments and social activities if required.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide 1:1 assistance with all personal care and mobility needs
● Operate hoisting equipment and provide catheter and bowel care
● Support with Tube feeding
● Ventilation Care
● Light domestic duties, and daily routines
● Drive the client’s car to appointments, outings, and errands (UK licence required)
● Build a trusting rapport through consistent, compassionate care
● Collaborate effectively with the client’s family and wider care team Requirements:
● Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs
● Competent in or willing to be trained in catheter care, hoisting, PEG care and bowel care
● Full UK driving licence (essential)
● Basic IT literacy to assist with computer use
● Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a warm personality
● Ability to work every weekend or alternative weekends
● DBS check required (to be completed during recruitment) What We Offer:

- Flexibility to cover wake nights if & when required 10pm - 8pm
