We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Shop Assistant to join our team. You’ll help provide excellent customer service, keep the shop tidy and well stocked, and support the day-to-day running of the store. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a warm and professional manner
- Operate the till and handle cash/card payments accurately
- Keep shelves stocked, tidy, and attractively displayed
- Receive and unpack deliveries
- Assist with pricing, tagging, and rotating stock
- Maintain shop cleanliness, including shop floor and counter areas
- Support the team in meeting daily sales and service goals
- Follow all health & safety, hygiene, and security procedures
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred (training provided for the right person)
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
- Comfortable working as part of a small team
- Able to work independently and take initiative when needed
