Job description
The HGV Technician will be working with the Workshop manager as part of a small team who are responsible for the mechanical and electrical repair alongside the preventative maintenance of the Company fleet, comprising of a variety of commercial HGV vehicles at a busy workshop based in Hickstead, West Sussex
Duties & Responsibilities
Work safely, following all relevant risk assessments and method statement instructions.

Able to work independently on a variety of maintenance and repairs both planned and unplanned

Prepare vehicles for MOT

Diagnose and repair defective electrical hydraulic and mechanical parts and equipment on commercial vehicles

It would be advantageous to be familiar with commercial HGV vehicles

A valid HGV class 2 licence would be advantageous but is not essential
Skills & Qualifications

Experience as a mechanic in a commercial vehicle environment

Appropriate qualifications

MOT preparation
-
Vehicle computer Diagnostics

Excellent understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and procedures

Full UK Driving Licence
Job Type: Full-time Hours of work will be 50 hours, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity for overtime and weekend work paid at competitive rates.
Salary: £40,300 subject to experience plus O/T

Schedule: 10 hour shift
