Duties
- Design, fabricate, and assemble custom signs using a variety of materials, tools, and techniques to meet project specifications.
- Install signs on different surfaces including walls, vehicles, windows, poles, and buildings with precision and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Measure spaces accurately to ensure proper sign placement and alignment for optimal visibility.
- Collaborate with clients to understand design requirements and provide expert advice on materials and installation methods.
- Conduct site inspections before installation to identify potential challenges or hazards and plan accordingly.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly after each job.
- Complete detailed documentation of projects, including measurements, materials used, and installation procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the sign making industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and sign fabrication equipment such as vinyl cutters, digital printers and laminators.
- Strong physical stamina to lift heavy materials, dig footings, work at heights, and perform manual tasks throughout the day.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting installation challenges.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to construction and signage installation is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical drawings or design layouts accurately.
- Valid driver’s license for site travel.
- Good knowledge of Abobe Illustrator.
- Knowledge of composer or similar.
