Job Title: Metal Finisher

Shift: Dayshift - 7am-3pm

We are recruiting for a precision engineering company based in Leeds, specialising in the manufacture of high-quality components for industries including aerospace and advanced manufacturing. Due to continued growth, we are looking for skilled and reliable Metal Finishers to join our production team.
The Role
As a Metal Finisher, you will play a key role in ensuring that machined components meet the highest standards of quality and finish. You will be responsible for preparing, polishing, and finishing metal parts to tight tolerances and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Deburring, polishing, and finishing precision-engineered components
- Using hand tools and finishing equipment (Grinders, linishers, polishing mops)
- Inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality standards and technical drawings
- Identifying and reporting defects or inconsistencies
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working closely with machining and quality teams to meet production targets
Requirements:
- Previous experience in metal finishing, deburring, or polishing within a precision engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good manual dexterity and practical skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience working with aerospace or high-spec components
- Familiarity with different metals (stainless steel, aluminium, titanium)
- Knowledge of quality standards and inspection tools
